Corporate history

1991Creation of Chempro GmbH as a production centre for protection systems developed by IBD Deisenroth.
Since 1994With the international community intervening militarily in global flashpoints more and more often, force protection becomes a pressing concern. Highly sophisticated protection systems – developed by IBD Deisenroth and produced by Chempro GmbH – provide troops deployed in harm's way with an extremely high degree of security.
2007 IBD Deisenroth and Rheinmetall enter a strategic alliance, forming the shareholder structure for a new company, Rheinmetall Chempro GmbH, which serves as a joint production base for producing highly advanced protection systems in Bonn.

In addition to developing and producing passive vehicle protection technology, IBD Deisenroth and Rheinmetall set up a new company, ADS Gesellschaft für aktive Schutzsysteme mbH, to develop active vehicle protection systems.
2011Rheinmetall's stake in ADS Gesellschaft für aktive Schutzsysteme mbH increases to 74% from 25%. The remaining share of the company continues to be held by IBD Deisenroth.
